Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and ASAM Criteria assessments for clients referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS), determining diagnosis and individual treatment needs. Coordinate with care teams to develop service plans and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Review DCS referral and supplemental documents to understand the family system and prior treatment attempts
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and ASAM Criteria® assessments to identify treatment needs and level of care
- Request additional information from DCS/DES Specialist if substance use disorder treatment is not recommended
- Coordinate with Care Coordinator for referrals to appropriate stabilization, inpatient, or residential services
- Prepare written assessment summaries following the ASAM Criteria® Comprehensive Assessment Report outline
- Complete care coordination activities with other entities to identify and address individual client needs
- Participate in the development of Service Plans through the service team format
- Provide evidence-based, therapeutic interventions, including outpatient counseling services
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a Behavioral Health Field (MA, MC, MSW)
- Maintains Arizona License: LCSW, LPC, LIAC, LMSW, LAC, LAAC or LMFT in Good Standing
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a Behavioral Health Field (MA, MC, MSW)
- Behavioral Health Experience Preferred, New Grads Considered

- Experience Treating Co-Occurring Disorders
