Join a growing therapy provider as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, executing therapeutic plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families to assist individuals in developing, recovering, improving, and maintaining skills for daily living.

Responsibilities

• Execute therapeutic plans designed to help patients under the supervision of an occupational therapist
• Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment
• Guide patients through exercises and engage them in activities crucial to their recovery and improvement
• Contribute to the planning and selection of therapeutic activities tailored to individual patient needs and interests
• Monitor and document the progress of patients regularly
• Observe changes in patient performance and behavior and report observations to the occupational therapist
• Adjust therapy interventions accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
• Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, use of adaptive equipment, and home modifications
• Provide clear instructions and support to ensure therapeutic practices are continued at home

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
