This role is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) dedicated to providing quality patient care within a supportive environment. The COTA will work directly with patients, leveraging their therapeutic knowledge to aid residents in achieving their full potential.

Requirements

• Completed accredited occupational therapy assistant program
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an occupational therapy assistant in Florida
• Strong administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough understanding of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and the necessary precautions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff
• Demonstrated emotional stability to manage the demands of patient care and teamwork
• Commitment to maintaining patient and employee confidentiality

Qualifications

• Successfully completed an accredited occupational therapy assistant program

Nice to Have

• Membership in state and national American Occupational Therapy Associations
• Training in the use of prescriptive devices (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound)
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement
• Experience with Net Health
