Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within a float pool, assisting team members with delegated tasks/procedures for early shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Assist team members with delegated tasks/procedures within scope of practice
- Produce accurate and timely computer documentation
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads
- Communicate observed changes in patient's behavior/activity to the RN
Requirements
- Successful completion of a CNA program
- Current certification as a nursing assistant OR enrollment in SPH CNA training program
- Current and valid BLS certification
- SECURE Training required within 6 months of hire date
Qualifications
- High school graduate, HiSET or GED equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a CNA program required.
- Previous hospital/long term care experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Previous hospital/long term care experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Certifications
Current certification as a nursing assistant
