About This Role

Perform advanced calibration work on a variety of equipment, troubleshooting and adjusting higher-level systems for various industries. This role involves independent work in the lab or at customer sites, and contributing to the development of lower-level technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration work with little to no supervision
  • Conduct independent research when necessary
  • Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made
  • Read and interpret labs’ scopes of accreditation
  • Work effectively with lab support staff
  • Perform calibrations within a laboratory or customer onsite setting

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 4+ years related experience/training
  • Experience working within ISO 17025
  • Ability to create, edit and maintain uncertainty budgets with an extensive understanding of statistics
  • 3+ years driving experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from college or technical school, or four+ (4+) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years commercial calibration experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • Four+ (4+) years of commercial calibration experience
  • CCT or CMT certification
  • Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
  • Extensive statistical background
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
