The Cage Shift Manager provides administrative assistance and direction for cashiering operations within assigned departments, ensuring efficient, profitable operation and high standards of quality and service. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, developing team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance and direction in the overall operation of assigned departments.
- Manage and direct day-to-day operations through department leads and coaches.
- Counsel, guide, and instruct team members in proper performance of duties.
- Plan, develop, and implement revised procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Be responsible for cashiering operations, including safeguarding assets and managing variance policy.
- Provide labor analysis and ensure efficient utilization based on business needs.
- Create and execute plans and strategies to achieve Total Service goals.
- Oversee and/or gather information to establish, update, and review casino check cashing accounts.
- Direct team members' work, maintain production, and appraise productivity for promotions or changes.
- Handle team member grievances and complaints.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years in Finance and Administration in the hotel/casino industry
- General business and accounting knowledge
- Broad knowledge of casino, slot and table games, rules, regulations, procedures and administration
- Strong organizational, managerial and communication skills
- Proven supervisory skills in managing a large staff
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio
- Ability to obtain a Sport Gaming Employee License within the State of Ohio
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, 4 year College preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible experience in Finance and Administration areas of the hotel/casino industry.
