Lead and manage the Business Services Team, overseeing efficient and effective travel, logistics, event planning, scheduling, expense policy, and administration for a global open-source software company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Business Services team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Oversee travel approvals, logistics, and operations for a dispersed workforce
- Manage expense review in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency
- Plan complex, large-scale company events four times a year involving hundreds of attendees from diverse countries
- Administer company offices that provide executive briefing and operational facilities
- Develop and implement global duty of care, health, and safety programs with comprehensive policies and practices
- Coordinate with suppliers and run small projects or initiatives
- Set and politely defend expense expectations for all colleagues
- Ensure team participates in all company events from planning to operations and safety reviews
Requirements
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
- Demonstrable drive and track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent judgment in matters involving money, policy, and in-person interactions
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, and flexibility
- Responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
- Ability to travel up to four times a year for company events up to two weeks long
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
