About This Role

Lead a global team responsible for efficient travel, logistics, event planning, and expense administration at Canonical. This role involves significant coordination, budgeting, and policy enforcement to support company-wide operations and culture building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efficient and effective travel, logistics, event, scheduling, expense policy and administration
  • Coordinate large-scale company events for hundreds of people from over 80 countries, four times a year
  • Manage travel procurement and logistics for company events, ensuring efficiency and safety
  • Serve as an independent check on expense claim approval, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Oversee operational costs amounting to tens of millions and make tactical/operational decisions
  • Provide traditional 'EA' services across departments, including meeting scheduling and report coordination
  • Manage travel approvals, logistics, and operations
  • Review expenses in line with company policies
  • Plan complex company events four times a year
  • Oversee company offices utilized for executive briefings and operational facilities
  • Manage global duty of care, health, and safety programs with comprehensive policies and practices

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
  • Demonstrable drive and a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Good judgement in matters involving money, policy, and in-person interactions
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, and flexibility
  • Responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness
  • Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
  • Ability to travel up to four times a year for company events up to two weeks long

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
