About This Role

The Bulk Sales Specialist drives and supports the sale of Bulk products, serving as a subject matter expert to internal and external customers. This role is directly responsible for executing regional company-specific bulk product marketing and sales growth plans through direct sales and collaboration with internal sales partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and support the sale of Bulk products, acting as a subject matter expert to customers and internal teams.
  • Execute regional bulk product marketing and sales growth plans through direct sales and collaboration.
  • Provide branch and outside sales associate support for the sale of Bulk gas/systems and on-site generators.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various internal managers and personnel.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer Bulk gas installation, removal, modification, site survey, and quote request activities.
  • Provide technical knowledge to assist with confirming customer project information such as gas type, volume, and pressure requirements.
  • Manage larger Bulk and on-site customer relationships.
  • Initiate customer sales calls, provide product and application training, and offer engineering and technical support.
  • Establish a process for continuous and accurate market data collection on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Develop sound pricing and negotiation strategies, including implementing Bulk price increases and contract renewals.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of bulk products and processes common to Airgas customers.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and consultative aptitude with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or up to 4 years of additional related experience.
  • 3 years of prior technical solution driven sales experience within the bulk gas field preferred, or 4 years of prior Bulk gas industry experience.

Nice to Have

  • Technical solution driven sales experience within the bulk gas field.
