This role involves performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary adjustments on diesel equipment and hydrovac operations. The technician will ensure the reliability and efficiency of the fleet, supporting the organization's operational success.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance such as oil changes and greasing of trucks
- Conduct safety checks on trucks
- Maintain communication with Branch Manager, Regional Fleet Staff, and other maintenance staff
- Keep the Hydrovac Fleet operating by troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and reading technical publications
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns occasionally
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and established procedures
- Manage work orders in Fleetio for comprehensive documentation and tracking
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Licensed Heavy Duty Technician
- Driver’s License
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
Nice to Have
- Class B CDL license
- Some knowledge with electronic diagnostics
- Experience with Peterbilt and Western Star chassis
- Experience with troubleshooting Hydrovac equipment
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations, and safety
- Computer literate: Fleetio, Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel
