This Bioprocessing Intern role offers an undergraduate the opportunity to gain biologics/AAV production and bioprocess development experience within the biotechnology sector. The intern will support various activities, including process development and analytical testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Support a range of activities, including biologics process development and analytical testing
- Gather information from literature, generate scientific hypotheses, and design studies to test hypotheses
- Perform development activities, including Cell Line Development (CLD), bioreactor operations, filtration, and chromatography operations
- Perform in-process sample testing
- Collect and analyze data; present data and progress in scientific discussions
- Interact with Research and CMC teams
- Collaborate with a mentor team of cross-functional team members and other interns
- Complete a special project and present recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in biotechnology
- Ability to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program
- Lab work requirement: full-time
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, biology or molecular biology
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Familiarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes
