Biomedical Equipment Technician 1

About This Role

This role involves performing basic maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment within Guthrie Healthcare System. The technician will ensure equipment is safe and operational, following regulatory standards and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the inspection, testing, and basic maintenance of biomedical equipment under the guidance of senior technicians
• Repair and troubleshoot medical devices to ensure equipment is safe and operational
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and service history accurately and timely
• Learn and follow regulatory standards and safety procedures related to healthcare technology
• Provide responsive and courteous customer service to clinical staff and end users
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and tools
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding work progress and equipment status
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment

• Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and biomedical equipment principles

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, biomedical technology, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a relevant program), or equivalent military BMET program, or AAMI certified.
