This role is for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to function as a specialized behavioral health clinician within the inpatient setting of a children's hospital. It ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards related to assessment, treatment planning, staff competence, patient safety, and performance improvement. The BCBA will conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments, develop individualized behavior intervention plans, and integrate these into overall care for pediatric patients with complex behavioral, developmental, and psychiatric needs.
Responsibilities
- Function as a specialized behavioral health clinician within an inpatient children's hospital setting
- Support compliance with Joint Commission standards related to individualized assessment, evidence-based treatment planning, staff competence, patient safety, and performance improvement
- Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans for pediatric patients
- Integrate behavioral interventions into the overall plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Train and supervise BCBA trainees in accordance with BACB requirements and Joint Commission expectations
- Provide education and consultation to inpatient staff, medical providers, and parents/caregivers
- Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives through data collection and outcome monitoring
Requirements
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work or Applied Behavior Analysis
- 3 years of related experience
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) License
