Barista

About This Role

Prepare and serve coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items while ensuring quality standards and excellent customer service. This role involves handling food according to HACCP guidelines and maintaining cleanliness of the service area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
• Enter orders accurately into POS device and accept cash and charge payments
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
• Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
• Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently, and prevent delays in serving lines
