Bakery Team Member (Service Counter)

About This Role

As a Bakery Team Member, you will support the bakery department by maintaining displays, stocking products, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves receiving and preparing products, engaging with customers, and performing various duties to uphold company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean, well stocked, and rotating products.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to leadership.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling programs, keeping areas full, clean, and appealing.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs in a timely manner and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, and maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing.

• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
