Automotive Parts Counterperson

About This Role

This role involves assisting internal customers and technicians with parts requests, managing inventory, and handling retail and wholesale parts counter duties for a busy automotive shop.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to customer inquiries and requests
• Ask questions to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs
• Supply parts in a timely manner
• Mirror match parts for the assistance of Technicians
• Cost parts on invoice
• Coordinate with Technicians and the Service department to ensure parts requests are met
• Stock incoming product and track inventory
• Handle retail customers at the parts counter
• Fill wholesale parts customers that call or walk in

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of Parts Counter experience preferred

Nice to Have

• At least 1 year of Parts Counter experience
• Automotive knowledge
