About This Role

Provide commercial legal assistance and expertise to partner governments, drafting and reviewing legal and regulatory strategies. Manage and implement programs, train stakeholders, conduct legal research, and engage with international partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial legal assistance and expertise to partner governments
• Draft and review legal and regulatory strategies
• Support the development of policies aligned with U.S. government objectives
• Manage and implement programs
• Provide training
• Develop written materials
• Conduct legal research
• Engage with international and interagency stakeholders
• Travel internationally to support legal reform initiatives abroad

Requirements

• Strong legal expertise, including experience in international law, commercial law, or regulatory frameworks
• Skills in legal research, drafting, and policy analysis
• Project management and program implementation experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with cross-cultural sensitivity
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including foreign officials and interagency partners
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership
