This entry-level position is designed to provide team members with foundational knowledge of SECU branch operations, performing routine duties and responding to member inquiries to deliver exemplary service.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements
- Run and balance a cash drawer according to Performance Measurement Criteria standards
- Greet and assist members in-person, by phone, and digitally in a professional and timely manner
- Obtain and execute Notary Public services as requested by management
- Process foreign and domestic wire transfers
- Troubleshoot problems with member accounts, cards, and online access, including processing disputes
- Review and take appropriate action on negative checking, NSFB, and Share Below $25 reports
- Learn to open basic accounts for existing members (share, money market, checking, Share Term Certificates) under supervision
- Begin obtaining basic knowledge of Financial Advisory and Real Estate products/services and provide referrals
- Begin obtaining basic knowledge of all consumer lending and credit card products and services
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to meet people and develop member confidence, respect, and trust
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to complete Credit Unions Core Module Program within 12 months of hire

- Bachelor's degree
- CCUE Certification
- Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree via the North Carolina Community College Transfer Program (NC-CTP)
