Associate, Intellectual Property

About This Role

This Associate will work on high-stakes patent, trade-secret, copyright, and complex technology litigation, gaining hands-on trial experience and significant responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on intellectual property matters to clients
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements related to intellectual property
• Represent clients in intellectual property disputes and negotiations
• Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases and strategies
• Assist in the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications
• Collaborate with clients to develop strategies for protecting intellectual property assets
• Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations
• Work closely with other legal professionals to deliver high-quality client service

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in IP or high-end technology litigation
• Excellent academic credentials and strong written advocacy skills
• Large law firm or sophisticated technology litigation experience
• Admission to the Bar in the chosen office's state (CA preferred)

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science strongly preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in IP or high-end technology litigation

Nice to Have

• Federal clerkship experience (including 2026 completions)
