The Associate Corporate Banking role involves managing international trade transactions, developing new commercial banking relationships with financial institutions, and supporting working capital finance programs for a European bank. This position will require expertise in trade finance, financial institution banking, and administrative support within the New York Representative Office.
Responsibilities
- Manage foreign trade transactions, documentation, and operations
- Engage in sales and business development for products distributed to Financial Institutions in the US
- Maintain updated KYC information for correspondent banks
- Support the development of new commercial relationships and business proposals for various financial products
- Participate in proposals and follow-up on Lending and Structured Products
- Respond to other banks and organize internal approval processes for secondary trade loan purchases
- Follow up on internal and client requests related to Supply Chain Finance and Receivable Finance Programs
- Complete administrative tasks for the Representative Office including expense control and account reconciliation
- Support Compliance and Management requests, particularly for regulatory examinations and internal audits
- Liaise with Head Office teams in all relevant areas
Requirements
- Knowledge of Trade Finance products, documentation, and regulations
- Exposure to or knowledge of Transaction Banking and Markets products (Payments, FX, Repo, Fixed Income, Derivatives, DCM)
- Familiarity with Receivable Finance and Supply Chain Finance
- Advanced use of Excel and Powerpoint
- Fluent written and spoken English
Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in Trade Finance and/or FIG Banking: commercial areas, risk management, product, and/or distribution
