About This Role

Lead and assist a team in a manufacturing plant, ensuring on-time order completion, maintaining production standards, and participating in continuous improvement efforts. Serve as a primary point of contact for team members, addressing problems and questions.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and assist a team through motivation, team building, and conflict resolution
  • Promote, understand, calculate, and communicate all goals for the department regarding safety, quality, and production
  • Ensure the cell is staffed according to labor standards
  • Communicate effectively with the Team Leader, Process Manager, and other shift leaders
  • Provide an additional point of contact for team members when problems or questions arise
  • Backfill the Team Leader while they are not in the department
  • Assist Team Leader in completing orders on-time
  • Act as point person for assigned areas to maintain production
  • Successfully meet all cell based measures and be involved in continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers
  • Read shop orders and open orders utilizing BPCS

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively lead and assist a team
  • Ability to promote, understand and calculate and communicate all goals set for department in regards to safety, quality and production
  • Ability to ensure the cell is staffed according to labor standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Team Leader, Process Manager and other shift leaders
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Above average attention to detail
  • Ability to work on feet for a minimum of 10 hours per day/5 days per week
  • Attention to quality, safety and detail work at a continuous pace
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable in public presentations, team meetings, and training others
  • Comfortable in BPCS and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lead, delegate, communicate, and participate in Continuous Improvement/Lean Projects

Qualifications

  • Previous Leadership/training Experience Is Preferred
