Provide legal advice, support, and research on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters for an institutional asset management business, specifically supporting two registered investment advisers focused on private equity fundraising and investing.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice relating to fund and separate account formation, as well as investment advisory services to private equity funds and institutional separate account clients
- Negotiate investment advisory and delegation agreements
- Work with the Compliance department on policies and procedures
- Assist in the development of new investment vehicles and products
- Advise and coordinate with internal and external counsel relating to mandates
Requirements
- At least 4 years' experience within large law firm
- JD Required
- Working knowledge of Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940 and the 1933 and 1934 Acts and ERISA rules
