This role manages the daily administration and operations of the Bioengineering undergraduate program office, overseeing recruitment, admissions, and advising while ensuring compliance with University policies. It involves collaborating with leadership on program development and curriculum issues, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration and operations of the Bioengineering undergraduate program office
- Oversee undergraduate recruitment, admissions, and advising operations, ensuring policy compliance
- Meet regularly with the Associate Head and Director of Operations to discuss program development, enrollment management, course access, and curricular issues
- Collaborate with faculty on activities like class schedule development, early enrollment, drop and probation reviews, and academic integrity reviews
- Organize meetings of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and other committees associated with the undergraduate program
- Maintain data pertaining to undergraduate programs, including for accreditation processes and surveys
- Participate in the ABET accreditation process and serve in a leadership role in departmental curriculum requirements and policies
- Oversee website content upgrades and assist in the development of marketing materials for recruitment in collaboration with Marketing and Communications
- Maintain an appropriate size advising caseload providing curriculum direction, degree auditing, and career counseling
- Serve as the primary departmental point of contact for undergraduate student conflict resolution and oversee support for students
- Supervise and support professional and clerical staff, along with student workers in the undergraduate program office
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, counseling, education, or a closely related field
- 3 years of professional work experience in undergraduate admissions, student affairs, undergraduate advising or related work experience in higher education
- Demonstrated experience in student recruitment, admission counseling, program development, or similar areas in an academic setting
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, counseling, education, or a closely related field.
- 3 years of professional work experience in undergraduate admissions, student affairs, undergraduate advising or related work experience in higher education.

- Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, counseling, education, or a closely related field
- Progressive responsibility in an area related to student services
- Experience in academic program management and curriculum oversight within an educational institution or similar setting
- Experience working with external constituents
