Assistant Center Director

About This Role

The Assistant Center Director supports the Center Director in managing daily operations, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for children. This role involves guiding Lead Teachers, implementing curriculum, and maintaining compliance and effective parent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in managing daily operations, including staff scheduling, enrollment, and curriculum planning
• Mentor and guide Lead Teachers, providing support and feedback to enhance their professional growth
• Ensure the effective implementation of the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting it to individual child needs
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of children, ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers to keep parents informed about their child's progress and maintain open lines of communication
• Address any challenges within the center, offering creative solutions and maintaining a positive atmosphere

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a childcare setting, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles
• Comply with state-specific requirements and regulations
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and empower staff
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in administrative tasks, including record-keeping, scheduling, and center management
• Physical capability to perform essential job functions

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred, meeting state-specific guidelines for the role
• Extensive experience in a childcare setting, including leadership roles, with strong knowledge of early childhood education principles
