This Asset Protection Center (APC) Specialist role involves conducting intrusion monitoring, access control, and incident documentation for global Company locations. The specialist will direct security, medical, and support personnel during emergencies and respond to medical situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intrusion monitoring and access control for global Company locations using security and event management software, video monitoring, and guest registration systems.
- Respond to monitoring system events and dispatch security personnel and/or technicians as needed.
- Produce high-quality, clear, and timely documentation of incidents and events for leadership decision-making.
- Maintain and update APC equipment and inventory to ensure optimal condition and maximum availability.
- Direct security officers, medical staff, and other key support personnel during medical situations and other emergencies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide care using skills acquired in First Aid/CPR/AED training.
- Monitor communication channels including phone, email, chat, and radio traffic for Company headquarters, satellite locations, and local police.
- Handle after-hours call and request routing via Company main phone line in the absence of phone operators.
- Assist the Facilities team with monitoring fire and elevator systems, conducting hot work/work at height programs, and dispatching maintenance personnel.
- Monitor local and global newsfeeds for events that may affect Company travelers or sites.
- Provide badging support upon request, including activation and deactivation of credentials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Demonstrated professional presence and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Comfort with the use of technology, especially computer applications
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions under pressure and in absence of leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma; GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
