About This Role

This hands-on leadership role coordinates daily assembly operations, guides Assembly Technicians, and ensures production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are met for a manufacturing company. The Assembly Lead serves as the primary point of contact on the floor, bridging communication between technicians and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily assembly activities and prioritize work based on production needs
  • Monitor daily output and support meeting department KPIs and production targets
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or delays and take corrective action
  • Actively participate in assembly work as needed to support production goals
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Assembly Technicians 1–3
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
  • Ensure proper material usage and inventory accuracy within the work area
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory data in the ERP system (Odoo)
  • Idnetify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and ergonomics
  • Collaborate with Quality, Inventory, Metal Finish, Maintenance, and other departments

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong working knowledge of assembly processes, product flow, and quality standards
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and basic inventory control
  • Working knowledge of Odoo or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate production needs
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to lead by example and take ownership of outcomes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience. Prior lead, senior technician, or informal leadership experience preferred.
