Area Manager (Facilities & Janitorial)

About This Role

Manage facility services team in Tri-Cities, WA, overseeing janitorial operations and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Drive leadership, employee engagement, customer engagement, growth, and safety strategies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage key operational functions
• Develop and maintain relationships of trust and engagement with on-site client
• Ensure standards for service quality, equipment, safety and performance are maintained
• Implement processes and structure in alignment with strategic initiatives
• Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs within functional areas
• Build a culture of work safety and lead by example
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
• Conduct regular operations staff / training meetings
• Manage budget and control expenses effectively
• Use Microsoft Office-based cost management system to audit budget

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience leading a complex and multi-site team
• Understanding of budgeting, labor and expense management, basic understanding of financial and accounting practices
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and coaching skills
• Ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Highly adaptable to changes and competing demands
• Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual English & Spanish
• Floor Care Experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience leading a complex and multi-site team; janitorial, distribution, manufacturing, mechanical, or service-related industry experience preferred.
