Applications Engineer

About This Role

Serve as a Technical Applications Engineer for a financially stable manufacturer of eco-friendly industrial products. Engage with customers, provide technical sales support, and develop optimal solutions for industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle 20–25 daily calls to assess customer needs and answer technical questions
• Guide customers through the web-based quoting system
• Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to interpret customer data
• Recommend optimal solutions and tailor proposals addressing performance and cost requirements
• Analyze site conditions and troubleshoot application challenges
• Present alternative designs to sales professionals
• Generate accurate quotes and proposals using integrated engineering software
• Communicate effectively with sales, operations, and R&D teams for seamless delivery and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred)
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering experience
• At least 2 years in industrial sales or applications engineering experience
• Genuine enjoyment of telephone-based customer interactions and problem-solving
• Strong mechanical background
• Proven track record of reliability and a solid work history in engineering or sales roles
• Residence within a 45-minute commute of Richfield, WI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred)
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering and at least 2 years in industrial sales or applications engineering
