About This Role

Applications Engineers at Brewer Science are technical experts responsible for understanding customer needs, providing support, and optimizing chemical product applications in manufacturing processes for the semiconductor/microelectronics markets. They collaborate with internal teams to integrate products, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Learn internal and external customer needs for process, materials, and equipment support
  • Maintain accurate records of data, procedures, experiments, tests, and findings in lab notebooks and prepare reports
  • Operate equipment including spin coaters, hot plates, ellipsometers, microscopes, plasma etchers, defect inspection equipment, wafer track, defect review, SEM review
  • Write accurate procedures for semiconductor equipment
  • Analyze experimental results using statistical methods and communicate results to internal and external customers
  • Develop and improve test methods to overcome technical limitations and better understand product functions and limits
  • Continuously communicate significant findings from product characterization to R&D, product integration, and manufacturing teams
  • Assist in the development of technical proposals and presentations
  • Support upper-level applications engineers in conducting feasibility studies and product testing
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under general supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience (or Master’s degree in related discipline)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 0+ years with a Master's degree in a related discipline
