As an Application Engineer IV, you will develop, secure, and maintain data-driven analytic systems, supporting the DoD's critical operations with innovative solutions. You will design and enhance software for large-scale data processing, vulnerability assessment, and authorization requirements across mission environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain analytic tools and data pipelines
- Write and debug Python code to process and analyze mission data
- Support system authorization activities, including documentation and compliance checks under the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and interpret Nessus scan results
- Monitor data systems and investigate issues affecting data quality, security, or workflow continuity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize data needs and security requirements
- Support Agile processes such as sprint planning, reviews, and stand-ups
Requirements
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux
- Strong experience in analytic development
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with system authorization, RMF, and vulnerability management (including Nessus)
Qualifications
- 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience based on other degrees (12+ years with High School Diploma/GED, 10+ years with Associate's Degree, 6+ years with Master's Degree, 4+ years with Doctorate's Degree)
Nice to Have
- Experience with patch management and IAVA tracking
- Familiarity with PIG, PySpark, and Scala
- Experience developing AWS Lambda functions
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment
