Application Engineer

About This Role

Serve as a technical liaison and coordination support for Aqua Solutions, providing engineered solutions for water and wastewater treatment equipment to municipal clients. This role focuses on technical application support, proposal coordination, and project execution assistance, contributing to successful delivery and business growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to support the analysis, sizing, and selection of pumps, controls, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and process drawings, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
• Develop and review technical content including equipment schedules, cut sheets, submittals, and O&M manuals.
• Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities with manufacturers and field teams.
• Coordinate technical deliverables and project activities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Track milestones, submittals, equipment lead times, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate information flow between internal teams, manufacturers, contractors, and consulting engineers.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for consulting engineers, contractors, and manufacturer representatives.
• Respond to technical inquiries with clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and consistent technical, pricing, and project data across proposals, submittals, and CRM systems.
• Ensure technical deliverables align with municipal specifications, regulatory standards, and manufacturer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
• 3-5+ years of experience with pumps, fluid handling systems, and municipal water/wastewater treatment equipment
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and engineering specifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and CRM systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
• 3-5+ years of experience with pumps, fluid handling systems, and municipal water/wastewater treatment equipment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Adobe and AI-based tools
