Application Developer I / II

About This Role

This role involves developing and delivering application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, providing support for technologies like SharePoint and Power Platform at Metro Water Recovery. The position level (I or II) will be determined by the candidate's qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and delivery of application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem (Application Developer I)
• Provide support to Metro Water Recovery technology environments such as SharePoint, Power Platform, and IT ticketing systems
• Create design, development, and delivery of complex application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem (Application Developer II)
• Utilize complex technology coding techniques (Application Developer II)
• Build and configure functional business applications using low-code tools like Power Apps and Power Automate (Application Developer I)
• Create user-friendly interfaces, responsive forms, and basic dashboards or reports (Application Developer I)
• Develop user interfaces and business logic using Microsoft technologies and standard web languages (Application Developer II)
• Build and deploy applications in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments (Application Developer II)
• Gather and analyze requirements to produce technical specifications or user stories (Application Developer II)
• Mentor and train IT staff (Application Developer II)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate (App Developer I)
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online (App Developer I)
• Basic computer programming languages (App Developer I)
• Microsoft development environments, especially Power Platform, SharePoint Online, .NET (C#), and SQL Server (App Developer II)
• Web development standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) (App Developer II)
• Understanding object-oriented programming, relational database concepts, and form-based application logic (App Developer II)
• Version control tools (e.g., Git) (App Developer II)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or Associate's degree in computer science (depending on level)
