About This Role

This advanced practice provider (APP) will work permanent night shifts in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, managing lung transplant and thoracic surgery patients from OR/inpatient to discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Function as a member of the lung transplant and thoracic surgery surgical management teams
  • Oversee care from OR/inpatient to discharge and throughout all aspects of the continuum of care in conjunction with the attending physician
  • Provide care throughout the system including ICU, progressive, and telemetry
  • Ensure an environment of safe quality care based on evidenced based practice and education
  • Demonstrate advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, and sound clinical judgment
  • Maintain professionalism in interpersonal and general communication skills
  • Ensure timely and compliant documentation
  • Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation

Requirements

  • MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Certification or enrollment in Post Master’s ACNP program within one year of hire or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)

Qualifications

  • MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
  • 1 year of related experience
