This role involves enforcing animal control statutes, responding to animal-related incidents, and educating the public on responsible pet ownership to ensure the welfare of animals and the community in Dickinson, ND.
Responsibilities
- Enforce animal control statutes
- Respond promptly to animal-related crises
- Enlighten the public on responsible pet ownership principles
- Care for animals in an Animal Shelter or Pound
- Maintain facility operations including cleaning, disinfecting, and preventative maintenance
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.)
Nice to Have
- Specialized training in animal control and handling
- Experience working a rotating schedule
- Experience handling stray or injured animals
- Experience maintaining facility operations
- Experience caring for animals in an Animal Shelter or Pound
