Analyst II Assortment Tools & Analytics

About This Role

This Analyst II drives the Assortment Optimization process for a major category group within Ahold Delhaize USA, facilitating collaboration, tool adoption, and analysis for internal partners and local brands. The role focuses on both macro and micro space optimization to enhance in-store planograms and Ecommerce facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assortment optimization for all category groups, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to category teams
• Translate category strategy and insights into the assortment optimization process, including customer decision trees, cannibalization groups, and store clustering
• Create assortment scenarios and projected KPIs for off-cycle strategic requests
• Deliver optimization of assortment for select category groups in wareroom and Ecommerce Fulfillment Centers leveraging efficiency software
• Responsible for producing pre and post optimization reporting and analysis, including market opportunity analysis and post reset waterfall reporting
• Lead/participate in the intake process with Category to understand brand strategies for assortment optimization
• Work with Category analysts to develop item and product group attributes and understand their impact on customer decision trees and item utility scores
• Embrace a continuous improvement and collaboration mindset, seeking opportunities to enhance existing processes

Requirements

• 2+ years in Retail, Business, or Technology related roles
• 1+ years related specifically to advancing technology and business systems
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office usage
• Demonstrated history of delivering on impacts and results
• Exhibit leadership behaviors to effectively lead self

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in Retail, Business, or Technology related roles; 1+ years related specifically to advancing technology and business systems.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of JDA / Blue Yonder space management
• Knowledge of IRI / Circana
