Direct and execute complex air emission monitoring projects, combining hands-on fieldwork with leadership and client-facing responsibilities to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist in business development initiatives
- Lead and perform on-site stack testing and source emissions monitoring in accordance with federal and regional regulatory methods (e.g., EPA Reference Methods, ECCC)
- Plan and manage field deployments, including crew logistics, equipment preparation, and safety procedures
- Analyze collected data and ensure QA/QC protocols are strictly followed throughout testing and reporting processes
- Serve as a technical liaison with clients, regulators, and internal teams to communicate project scope, progress, and findings
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior field technicians and new team members
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical and sampling skills equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Support project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting in collaboration with project managers and senior leadership
- Keep current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices, proactively adapting procedures and technologies
- Prepare and QA/QC high-quality technical reports, including regulatory documentation, emissions data summaries, and field observations
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
- Minimum of 10-years experience working in the Air Quality field
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- Strong computer and analytical technical “hands-on” skills
- Field/site experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people and team skills
- Highly motivated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with no supervision
- Exceptional organizational capabilities, coordination, and consultation skills
- Willingness to travel, and work outdoors including working long hours, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to collect samples at locations that may require working at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
- Minimum of 10-years experience working in the Air Quality field
