Advisor Application Designer

About This Role

This Advisor Application Designer role involves leading technical teams and workstreams to design, develop, test, and install complex database applications for Gainwell, a company focused on improving health and well-being through technology.

Responsibilities

• Head up technical teams and workstreams
• Design, develop, test and install complex database applications software with server, client and web components
• Oversee relationships between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements result in flexible, reusable system components
• Write highly complex design, coding and testing documentation
• Provide clients with technical consulting on highly complex projects by refining existing apps and designing new application modules and components
• Mentor and guide less experienced application designers

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in application/web/product design, development, programming, performance tuning and support using Java in partitioned database environment
• 5+ years of experience working in a healthcare domain
• Experience integrating application systems by different technologies such as Java, Angular, and Shell scripting using DB2, Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Experience with production support, application server management functions, and complex data transformations dealing with large volume of data
• Experience writing Stored Procedures using SQL
• Experience implementing Agile methodology
• Experience upgrading the build and deployment to Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• 3+ years of experience working with Medicaid and Medicare systems
• Expertise in application development policies, procedures and analyzing costing/budgets to determine financial feasibility

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in application/web/product design, development, programming, performance tuning and support cross all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle using Java in partitioned database environment. 5+ years of experience working in a healthcare domain. 3+ years of experience working with Medicaid and Medicare systems.
