About This Role

This Advanced Process Engineer role involves developing, designing, documenting, and validating manufacturing equipment and processes for filtration and single-use processing solution products. You will optimize manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product and equipment specifications to determine designs for existing manufacturing facilities and methods
  • Determine the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, space, time, and other factors
  • Provide technical information on manufacturing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations for long-range planning
  • Confer with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs
  • Prepare or direct preparation of product/system layout and detailed drawings and schematics using 2-D and 3-D CAD software
  • Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software
  • Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications
  • Create project plans, including schedules for due dates, testing, analysis, and documentation
  • Monitor project status to ensure documentation is submitted and delivery deadlines are met, verifying project documents for completeness and QA compliance
  • Assist maintenance and production in troubleshooting existing equipment problems and modify equipment to improve reliability and quality
  • Work independently to identify equipment needs and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of software packages, operating systems, and equipment
  • Strong 3-D and 2-D CAD skills
  • Strong English Language written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in a similar position
