About This Role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the PICU delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role focuses on direct patient care, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and enhancing clinical outcomes for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Prioritize direct patient care while actively contributing to divisional quality improvement initiatives
• Enhance clinical outcomes
• Support orientation efforts
• Provide education to patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and engagement in care
• Manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks

Requirements

• Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles
• Ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies
• Ability to prioritize patient care acuity and tasks
• Ability to collaborate with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years with PICU experience preferred
