This volunteer position involves tutoring adult learners to improve their reading and writing skills, contributing to community strengthening through education. Tutors will meet with learners weekly in a supportive environment, either in-person or virtually.
Responsibilities
- Help adult learners improve their reading and writing skills
- Meet with learners for 1-2 hours per week for at least 6 months
- Utilize provided training and materials to become a successful tutor
Requirements
- Commitment of 1-2 hours per week for at least 6 months
- Local volunteer in San Mateo County
Qualifications
- No previous teaching experience or educational background required.
