Accounts Payable Specialist

About This Role

Process high-volume payable invoices across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls. This role requires strong full-cycle Accounts Payable experience and proficiency with OCR/invoice automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices for 30+ multi-site locations
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Utilize Yooz (or similar OCR automation system) to capture, route, and validate invoices
• Ensure proper GL coding and adherence to company policies and internal controls
• Perform three-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice) as applicable
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries in a timely manner
• Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9 documentation is up to date
• Assist with weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and AP reconciliations
• Partner with location managers and department heads to ensure accurate expense allocation
• Identify process improvements within the shared services AP function

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience
• Proficiency with Yooz or similar OCR/invoice automation platforms
• Strong understanding of GL coding and accounting principles
• Experience processing high-volume invoices
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a shared services or multi-entity environment
• Experience processing high-volume invoices in a multi-location setting
• ERP system experience (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, SAP, etc.)
• Experience in retail, healthcare, hospitality, or other multi-location industries
