Join our team as an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk in Los Angeles, California. This role involves processing financial transactions, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records to support essential financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets, applying proper coding and classifications
- Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare routine financial reports and summaries to support audits and internal reviews
- Assist with payroll data entry and maintain accurate payroll records
- Address inquiries from staff and vendors regarding payment statuses and documentation requirements
- Organize and securely maintain financial and administrative records in alignment with company policies
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks that enhance departmental operations and efficiency
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related clerical finance role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication skills paired with a customer-service-oriented approach
- Familiarity with invoice processing and data entry in financial systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
- At least one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related clerical finance role
