Accounting Clerk

This long-term contract role seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support accounting operations for a team in Los Angeles, California. The position is ideal for individuals who excel in organization, precision, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
• Input and manage financial data in accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring proper coding and classification
• Assist with reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and other financial accounts
• Generate routine financial reports and summaries for internal review and audit purposes
• Support payroll-related tasks, including record-keeping and data entry
• Address inquiries from staff and vendors regarding payment statuses and documentation requirements
• Organize and maintain secure filing systems for financial and administrative records in compliance with policies
• Perform general clerical and administrative duties to support department operations efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar clerical finance role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or an associate’s degree in a related field is preferred
• At least one year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar clerical finance role
