This Accounting Assistant position supports a non-profit organization by performing accurate data entry, managing financial records, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions. The role is a temporary contract to help the client prepare for an upcoming audit.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry for invoices and other financial records
- Assist with filing and organizing accounting documents to maintain accessibility
- Scan invoices and upload them into the accounting system for processing
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are consistent
- Utilize Accounting software to manage and update accounting information
- Verify and code invoices to ensure proper categorization
- Collaborate with the accounting team to address any additional tasks or projects
Requirements
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills to work within a team environment
