Accountant II, Senior

About This Role

This Experienced Accountant position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records by assisting with month-end close, managing accruals, preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and performing departmental analysis. The role supports budgeting and financial planning initiatives while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation and review of financial statements
• Manage accruals and prepaids, ensuring accurate recording and timely adjustments
• Prepare and post journal entries with comprehensive documentation
• Conduct account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues
• Perform departmental analysis to support budgeting and financial planning initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights
• Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules
• Maintain and update accounting records and systems
• Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and maintain the revenue recognition subledger

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience (for Accountant II) OR 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (for Senior Accountant)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• CPA or CPA eligible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience for Accountant II, 5+ years for Senior Accountant

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Experience with accounting standard research and implementation
• Application of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) accounting principles
