Account Manager - Commercial Lines

About This Role

Manage an assigned book of commercial lines business to ensure account retention and support new business development. Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues with a focus on attention to detail and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team for commercial lines
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues
• Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests

Requirements

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Florida Insurance Experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
