Account Manager - Commercial Lines

About This Role

Manage an assigned book of commercial lines business, focusing on trucking and transportation accounts, to ensure retention and support new business development for Insurance Office of America. This role involves resolving complex customer service issues and maintaining data accuracy in agency systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues, ensuring no errors or omissions in operations
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines insurance
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and collect outstanding balances from delinquent accounts
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion

Requirements

• Active P&C license
• Experience with commercial trucking or transportation accounts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
