About This Role

Manage an assigned book of commercial lines business to ensure account retention and support new business development. Coordinate daily administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and maintaining high accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines insurance
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues
  • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to service requests

Requirements

  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Active licensing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
