Account Manager - Commercial Lines

About This Role

Manage an assigned book of commercial lines business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. This role focuses on trucking and transportation accounts and requires an active P&C license.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions in accounts
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion

Requirements

• Active P&C license
• Experience with commercial trucking or transportation accounts
• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry, with experience in commercial trucking or transportation accounts.
