About This Role

Manage an assigned book of commercial lines insurance business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. This role coordinates administrative and customer service activities, resolves complex issues, and maintains data accuracy within agency systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in insurance
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team
  • Handle customer service requests, including policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals for clients
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals for renewals
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports and collect outstanding balances from delinquent accounts
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues
  • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to service requests

Requirements

  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Required active licensing
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Florida Insurance Experience (for location support in Jacksonville, FL)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry

  • Professional designation (CIC or equivalent)
